In order to collect atlas records from the less well visited areas of Lothian & Borders, the Atlas Group has drawn up a timetable of “blitzes” to selected 10km squares within our area. These will be led by an experienced atlas worker and will occur on either the Saturday or Sunday of the weekend listed. This is an ideal opportunity to find out what is in the area and contribute to this important project. Less experienced fieldworkers are welcome and will be given some extra support. Please help make this project a success and support the individuals who have kindly given up their time to lead these trips.
Nearer the date, a meeting point will be arranged and one or more cars will be shared to get the volunteers to the area to be worked. Some expenses are available to help with the fuel to get to the area.
