The Birds of Eigg – a new publication

04 June 2013

The Birds of Eigg – a new publication, supported by the SOC’s The Birds of Scotland Fund.

The isle of Eigg, a green emerald in the sea of the Hebrides, has a very diverse birdlife. For 30 years this has been John Chester’s patch and he has spent countless hours collecting bird records.

He now presents this work in The Birds of Eigg, along with the personal reflections of some of those he has inspired to take up wildlife watching.

The book is fully and beautifully illustrated and will inspire you to visit the island and enjoy its unrivalled biodiversity and culture.
Copies are available from Waterston House, or via mail order by contacting mfoxwell@swt.org.uk , RRP £12 (including p&p). All profits from sales of the book go to conservation work on Eigg.
