Local branches of the Club
The SOC has 15 local branches around the country, from Orkney to West Galloway. Select a branch from the list below for more information on the activities, events and publications of each, as well as branch contact details.
An administrative hub, resource centre, wildlife art gallery and events venue.
On a daily basis, the Donald Watson Art Gallery at Waterston House plays host to a year-round programme of exhibitions from some of the UK’s top wildlife artists. Entry to the gallery is free and open to all during normal visitor hours.
This year we hope to be able to offer you an even greater variety of events to take part in including photography courses, art demonstrations and workshops, so please do keep checking our list of forthcoming events
SOC Annual Conference
Every year the Club organises an Annual Conference (which includes the Club’s AGM) in October/ November time. This takes the form of a weekend event, with registration opening on the Friday afternoon.

SOC/BTO one-day Spring Conference – the Scottish Birdwatchers’ Conference
Every year the Club arranges a one-day Scottish Birdwatchers’ Conference, organised by the relevant SOC local branch, in conjunction with our friends and colleagues at BTO.
The 2015 Scottish Birdwatchers’ Conference is being hosted by SOC Clyde Branch and will take place on Saturday 21st March at the University of Glasgow. Details will be added to the Spring Conference page later in the year.
