07 Oct 2014         ”Planning Scotland’s Seas: A Vision for the Future. Conservation implications of seabird decline”, with Allan Whyte

Scotland’s marine environment has be over exploited and under regulated to the point where the rich marine wildlife that was once ubiquitous is now fragmented and only exists where the hands of industry can’t reach. The Marine (Scotland) Act, passed in 2010, gave Scotland the tools to reverse some of this damage. My talk explores a vision of how Scotland’s marine environment could be, the challenges we face and what needs to be done to ensure Scotland remains one of the most important places in the world for seabirds.
