This group exhibition brings together three painters Tim Wootton, Darren Rees and Daniel Cole and a sculptor, Simon Griffiths to focus on wildlife captured at a particular moment. All are established wildlife artists and members of the Society of Wildlife Artists (SWLA).

Tim Wootton, draws inspiration from the wilderness of Orkney, where he lives, and the surrounding seas. Darren Rees is based in Stirling but travels the world, his work reflecting these wide-ranging trips without neglecting the beauty on his doorstep. Daniel Cole lives in Cornwall and creates sweeping paintings often giving a birds’ eye view of the world. Simon Griffiths, based in Co. Durham, works in ceramics producing sculptures that always hint at the world beyond the subject. While they share a passion for nature, and a life-long dedication to the subject, these artists each bring their very personal approaches to it, often delighting the viewer with a contrasting takes on a shared experience. The exhibition runs from Saturday 25 May until Wednesday 3 July 2019. WATERSTON HOUSE WILL BE CLOSED ON SUNDAY 26 MAY OWING TO EDINBURGH MARATHON ROAD CLOSURES. Open daily, 10am to 4pm. All welcome, free entry.
