Come along to SOC's headquarters in Aberlady and learn how to create a 'nest' inspired vessel using a random weave technique, with artist Anna Corbett.
The workshop will start with learning how to make string from a range of plant fibres. You will then have a go at different methods of weaving your cordage, taking inspiration from birds, the master nest builders, to create your own random weave vessel.
This style of weaving allows lots of room for improvisation and your own creative interpretation. Anna will offer lots of support and guidance about how to develop and realise your ideas, so come along and enjoy a day of weaving with nature.
By the end of the workshop you should have a beautiful hand-woven pot to take home with you.

All materials are provided in the course fee. The cost is £65 for members or £68 for non-members. This is full day workshop so please bring a packed lunch along with you.
