Important: Event changes due to weather (latest update: 2 October, 11.20am)
Because of the current yellow weather warning relating to Storm Amy, we have taken the difficult decision to scale back Saturday’s event and cancel all outdoor activities. We currently hope to proceed with our indoor activities, unless the weather warning is increased to Amber in which case Waterston House will be closed. The safety of our community is our top priority, and we don’t want anyone taking risks on the roads to reach us.
We’re truly sorry — so much planning has gone into this day, and we were really looking forward to welcoming you. Please keep an eye on our social media channels (you'll find links at the bottom of this page) for further updates as we monitor the changing weather patterns.
----------
To commemorate the twentieth anniversary of the opening of Waterston House on 1 October 2005, we are delighted to welcome everyone to a day of events on Saturday 4 October, with live music, talks, children's activities, plant sales and optics demonstrations.
